In this UEFA Europa League Round of 16 leg 2 match there were 2 tough offside calls the Latvian referee team had to make. Were the decisions correct? Check it below! Match informationMatch officials:
Match report Highlights First incidentThe first incident happended already at the 15th minute when Arsenal sprinted in a counter-attack. The Latvian AR2 Spasjnonnikovs did not signalise for an offside incident when Aubameyang [14] received a pass from his teammate. Unfortunately Spasjonnikovs made an incorrect decision - as shown below, Aubameyang [14] was in an offside position - and the goal scored by Maitland-Niles [15] should not have counted. Second incidentAt the 72nd minute Aaubameyang [14] made an even thougher possible offside incident. This time it was Gudermanis who had to make the decision that was onside. The The Referee investigation confirmed that the decision was correct. Please contact The Referee if you have any ideas for improving the upcoming Offside Investigations!
